Show was great despite the inordinate number of distractions
Despite the idiots in the crowd that felt the need to be part of the show, I had been waiting a long time to see one of my favorite comedians and he didn't disappoint.
There was only one usher working entire upper section and for some reason a security guard who decided to just stand in people's view of the show. The bigger issue was the distractions early in the show.
Sections aren't clearly marked at this theater so people can't find their section in the dark, so they just proceed to block everyone's view of Yebba as they stand around confused.
Tickets said show started at 730, and the opening act didn't even come on until 15 minutes or so late, Yebba took stage about 815. Despite all the extra time, there were dozens of people wandering in as he took the stage and a good 15 minutes into his set.
First off, the theater should have clearly marked sections, but secondly, this should go for all comedy shows everywhere. It was so bad, it makes me question will I ever go to a comedy show in New Orleans again, because this is not the first time there has been chaos going on during a show, also at this theater.
There should be a late arrivals section--you can't get to the show on time, you get shepherded to an auxiliary section so as not to disturb the people who can actually show up to things on time.
